The kit contains four types of floral design blades — a knife for soft stems, pruners for branches, and general purpose shears that are suitable for most all stem types. The kit also includes my favorite ribbon scissors.

As you learn to create arrangements you will rely most heavily on the general purpose shears, and as your skill level advances you will transition to the knife for most arrangements. The pruners are important for creating neat finishes on bouquets.

The kit also contains four types of floral design tape. Each type of tape can be used in a variety of ways depending on the product you are creating and the technique you are using to create it. The video you receive will detail this. 

Floral Netting and Pin Frogs are two types of floral design mechanics. Mechanics is a fancy word for the structure you will use to support the floral arrangement. You may also hear professional floral designers refer to this as an armature. You may use one, the other, or none depending on the type of vessel you are designing with. 

This kit comes with one multi function container that is the ideal shape, size, color, and texture for a beginner to launch with. It’s difficult to find in a big box store, and that is why we have included it in the kit. 

Wire, ribbon, and pins are important to have on hand for wedding work, and while you could make do with items from a craft store, these are made specifically for professional floral designers.
